Stargate Network, also called SGN, is a fan game that was in development on the Unreal Engine 4. Stargate Network is based on the simulation and exploration of many worlds of Stargate, reproduced with realism and with great realism and an attention to details. Due to the acquisition of MGM by Amazon in 2021, the development team were unable to contact MGM regarding securing an official license for Stargate Network, and in December 2022 they announced that they were ceasing work on the game.

The story[]

You start in the control room of the SGC. From there, you can visit a small section of the base or activate the gate to visit other planets. Don't forget to make coffee before leaving!

Production[]

Stargate Network is created on the Unreal Engine 4. The game was first created on the UDK (Unreal Engine 3) before being converted to the latest Unreal Engine version.

Stargate Network is the evolution of the project of a 2D simulator of the SGC, SG Network. With time, it has gathered several Stargate fan games, such as Stargate Awakening.

The Stargate Network team is still recruiting experienced 3D artists, Ue4 programers and skilled mappers.

Multiple YouTubers have also covered the different Demos, among them BradPhusion who has accumulated more than 50'000 views on his Stargate Network review.

Demo[]

Different versions of the Demo were released. The latest, 2.3.0, was still created on the UDK. The makers have stated that no other UDK version will be released, since the team now puts all its efforts in the Unreal Engine 4 version.
